The Zoo

On Saturday there was a unexpected visit from my sister because she was in town and she came over for a bit with her boyfriend and my brother mentioned that when she was leaving they were going to the zoo with my dad and cousins and they said we could go but they couldn't get us back and when we were done they were going back to my sisters boyfriends house and my mum said she’ll pick us up from there. So we got ready and got dressed and we went to the zoo in Cam’s car (sister's boyfriend) when we got there it was quite hard to find a spot to park and when we did we got our wristbands and our food vouchers, the reason we went was because at my grandad’s work at the end of every year they go out to a place and this year it was the zoo.

We looked at all the zoo animals and my baby sister loved all of the animals, her favourite one was the elephants because they were really big and they moved around the most, so she was most interested I think the one she disliked the most was the tortoises because they were still most the time and they basically only ate the food they had. My personal favorite was the tiger because of their colour and there movement, we got to see them get feed and they ate ostrich eggs and lots of other things, how they got feed was they had two rooms one main one which they do most things in and the other was for when they get feed so the second room they put the tigers in there then the main one went in the keepers to hide and put the food then let the tigers back in the main room again.

We went in the new meerkats enclosure and went in the tunnels and the keeper put food on top of the see through part and the meerkats were right above us there was also baby tortoises and bigger ones, we got our food with our food vouches not long after and got a free bag of chocolate as well and in our food bag I had a bottle of pump water a banana, a cookie, a ham and cheese roll and a bag of chips, not long after it started raining, so we left and we went to Sylvia Park to get some clothes for Cam at Hallensteins and then we went home.
