Maths review: This year I have enjoyed maths working with Mrs Taaffe and her amazing mathematical skills and giving her knowledge to us. So far I have been in the Kermits then the Scooters and then back into the Kermits. During this year I think I have improved quite a bit in tests, my Pres were alright but then a bit of a step happened. It has also been cool working and collaborating with my fellow group mates, and I like having just boys in the Kermits and then a girl group the Fozzies. Now I am excited and happy to see what happens next year in Marama’s maths groups.

For the last few weeks our school has been practising athletics for the ninth of November and I'm going to be explaining some information about high jump. The first week of athletics training the year sixes did high jump and we got videoed. We got one practice. Then came the real jump. We had the bar higher then the practise height and only three people got past the highest one which was me, Josh and Raiden.  t. The Video my HIGH JUMP!!!!

iDrive This Thursday for iDrive me (Tawa), Olly, Hamish, Mason and Nesta did creative playground. First we made a ramp for a cable reel to roll down on, first Nesta went then Hamish, Mason, Olly then I went last and then it didn't work out because some people got hurt so we decided to make a teepee with all the things we could. We videoed it in time-lapse and did some ramp videos too but some of them looked pretty sore and just incase at the end of the ramp we put some mussel buoys there so you could land on them. If you're wondering it didn't hurt landing on them and some people just completely missed them so it probably hurt :-I .

Labour Day is a National holiday for many hard working New Zealanders which is on the fourth Monday of October. You get a longer weekend to spend time relaxing or catching up with family members. Labour Day is also for schools, government offices and many businesses are closed. New Zealand first celebrated Labour Day on October 28, 1890 (a long long time ago) and the first official Labour Day public holiday in New Zealand was celebrated on the second Monday of October 1900 (twenty years later from the first one) , The holiday was moved to the fourth of October 1910 and has stayed like that since then.

Term 4 Art This term for art I decided to do Picasso art with Mrs Barker, it was only me and Olly so it was a two man group. First we had to look at the doc and checked out what to do, then we made a draft which we failed really bad. Then Mrs Barker came and took us through what we had to do, we first made our head the shape of an egg, next we had to put two lines vertical and horizontal and on the horizontal line we drew the eyes then added a line in at the top between the horizontal line and the top of the head. After that we made our hair above the line I was just talking about, we next had to make a line in the middle of the bottom half to make a mouth and above the mouth draw the nose and speaking of the nose it was my favorite part of it because I got to watch a step by step video on how to do it and I did it pretty good. Holiday recount In the holiday the most exciting thing I did was going ice-skating with my brother and Incca ( my mums friends daughter ) and that was my second time going there in my whole life and I was pretty good at it, but I stumbled a few times. My other most exciting thing was getting my first phone which was an iPhone 5 (black) with two cases (my little brother got a phone before me then lost it, so he’s not going to get one until he is fifteen:- ) and that was really cool. My average things were having kill another one of the pigs so now we only have two a boy and a girl. My cousins cat had kittens during the holidays, but they are still too little to get out of the room where they born. The things I didn’t like in the holidays were staying at my cousin's house when it was raining because their house is made of corrugated iron and it was really loud and I had a horrible sleep and when I woke up I stayed in bed till about ten thirty. This week for iDrive I did something with our wheely chairs, first it started with all the black and blue wheely chairs looking untidy. Then someone came up with this bright idea that we should change the fabric on them (which was Kate). So me, Finn, Mason, Hamish and Mrs Barker (one of our teachers) decided to do them. First we had to take the hundreds of staples out, then we chose a bright fabric for them. Next we had to measure the fabric we wanted and cut it out then staple it on. On some of them we had to sew a hem using the sewing machine. Since I finished so fast I ended up doing two, my challenge were  taking out all the staples. And this is how it started And here our our new and improved wheely chairs                                                                             ...

Last Friday we did the Learning and the Making Conference and the four things I did. First I ran a workshop which was Google Drawing it was harder than I thought getting all of the kids to get into groups but we worked it out eventually. Next I did cooking with Miss Williams. We made hot-dog pasta and it was yum but different because I had never had that meal before.  The third workshop I did was Paper Mache and it was a double session with Mrs Malanaphy and Mrs Heaven. I made a fish with zentangles on it, and the background was pink. I made the eyes out of buttons which was cool. My favourite would have to be cooking because we got to eat it at the end. I forgot to tell you that the hot dog pasta was frankfurters cut into quarters then we stuck spaghetti pasta inside then we boiled it in a pot and served it with pasta sauce YUM!!!!! CARDS One of the things I did for iDrive this week was cards with Olly, Logan, Kurt, Leon and Neo. We played Last Card, Olly won then second was me then Neo, Kurt and out of Leon and Logan Leon won by one card. MUSIC      This was the other thing I did play with the musical instruments, we pretended to be one New Zealand's Got Talent witch was pretty cool Neo was the judge and in the final was me and Logan but we didn't get to finish and next week you will no how will win PS I was a drummer AWESOME My learning Powers are BEING ME FUN COLABRATIONS

Princess Diana and was born on the 1st of July 1961, She died in a car crash not long after birthday on the 31st of August 1997 in Paris. She was the first wife of the of Charles the Prince of Wales. She was the fourth child and third daughter of John Spencer. She had two sons Prince William's and prince Harry. Prince William was born 21st June 1982 and Prince Harry was born 15th September 1984. In 1975 she became lady Diana Spencer after her father inherited the title of Earl Spencer. She liked to be treated normally. She was divorced in 1996 28th August which was close to her birthday too and a year before her death.

This week for iDrive I did lego with Olly, Callum, Hamish, Logan, Mason and Finn we created a farm with a tractor, plane, trailer, boat and harvester. The challenges I faced was making the plane because it didn’t have all the pieces which then I had to make on my own and put it together, in the end it worked out but it didn’t fly. It was about thirty centimetres long and I made it myself. COMMUNICATING AND FUN

This week for iDrive I did box models with Mason and we created a half car, boat, plane and house. We are not finished it yet but we will do it next week. We also made a little car for the inside and we are making a little boat and a little plane. In this picture you will see me and Mason's little car. My two skills I mastered was having F un and C ollaboration .

Last term for art we did lino-prints and my teacher was Mrs Heaven, our topic was tapa art. At first we did sketching of what type of picture we wanted to do. Then we chose one or two picture's we drew. Then we had to do a good copy in light pencil then a dark one so we could rub it onto the lino. After that we started to carve all the simple parts then we did our first print then we went on and craved more detail into it then printed it again with the ink. Finally we did the last one witch I did black. We got it present it all at the end and took some bits and pieces home to show to my our parents.

In my holiday I went to the Speed Show and first we had lunch, then we watched a few races. After that we went to were all the games are we spent ten dollars on one game. We went to go see the go karts then the jet car, the jet car was going to race at 1.15 so we wanted to watch it go. 1.15 We were at the race track and there was the 9-12 year olds racing in go karts, then the 13-15 year olds racing go karts ,  then it was the jet car, the guy that was in it had to old the brakes well he fired the engine. as soon as he turned on the car you could see the heat wave then he put his foot on the throttle and there was heap's of fire coming out the back of the car and that used about $350 gas money.  

Plus -This week my plus is that I read one whole book in five days and I might put it on my book review page with my other book reviews. - On Thursdays we have I drive and we get to choose something of our my street to do and last week I did role playing in a group we get about six or seven things to choose from and my favorite so far is role playing . PICTURE Minus -My minus is that I did my AWS on the day it was meant be done by. What I am looking forward to next term -I am looking forward to cross country because in practice we run the block and before that we do the beep test and sometimes I get real sore calf muscles and then is in a bad shape for cross country but it is worth all that training in the end . Goal -My goal next week is to get my work done by Thursday 9:00 and to do that I will try to sit next to people that aren’t my weekend friends. B-)

On the way to J Rock I went with the Nicholson and back with my Mum. When we got there we had to get a wrist band on so the workers know we were meant to be there. Around five o clock we got into our black clothes and got some of our makeup on. We had dinner at around six thirty, we had lasange, a ham and cheese bun, veges, fruit, mentos, juice and a cup cake. At seven twenty it was Ngatea schools (My) turn to perform. My heart was racing as I went on stage but it was racing faster and faster as closer as it gets to my turn and my turn was coming up. Bang! I was off on stage there was so many people that I thought I was going to puke. When I was going back to our dressing room that we stayed in I saw my cousins, my nanny, mum and nana they took photos of me in costume.In the end all that hard work was worth it and we got a dinner at  MC DONALD'S.
