My Axolotls & Baby Fresh Water Eel
Yesterday 23/6/16 when I got home from school I walk inside to see a tank because for ages I've been wanting fish so I ask where is the fish and my mum told me to look on the floor and in a bucket there is a ice- cream container with two black Axolotls and I picked the bigger one and Tumai (my brother) got the littler one then I took a closer look and in the bucket I saw a tail, then I lifted up the container with the axolotls in it and there was a baby freshwater eel. We boiled some hot water and put it into the tank then went and brought some ice to cool it down to 20 degrees and putting the axolotls in was tricky but we did then the eel was so calm and tamed.
Apparently you are not supposed to put axolotls with other creatures but the person we got it off said that the eel and axolotls are getting on fine and they still are now. My axolotls name is Mr Midnight, Tumai's one I don't know because he has changed it so many times and the baby fresh water eels name is Mr Hazel because of its colour. When we got them I did a lot of research and our first time feeding them we drop the mince in for the eel, for the axolotls we feed them mince too and worms, we have to hand feed the axolotls thought and the first time my mums friend did then I did it the next time, I have been bitten by then heaps of time but there teeth are very tiny so it didn't hurt at all.

Recently we had to move the baby eel from the tank and put it into another one where we put drain water in that one so he could breath better because with the axolotls he kept on gasping for breath and I don't think he liked that type of water. Also the axolotls tank has been cleaned more than once already, so some time this week I have got some money out of my bank account and I am going to buy a filter and a thermometer so we can test the water temperature because we don't know if the water is right for them.

Today we might be going to get a filter for the axolotls and the eel, the eel just needs to get some more drain water so it is cleaner.
